Photofest registration is open. All Students in my Photo31 class are required to attend at least two seminars/workshops. The dates are April 13th, 14th, 15th and 17th.

Monday and Wednesday: We’ll be developing and printing the Depth of Field assignment this week.

Week Six. Feb 17th

No Class Monday

Wednesday Feb 17th: Free Print assignment is due. We will also be discussing the next assignment, Depth of Field. Bring your cameras to class.

Week Five. Feb 8th and 10th

Monday Feb 8th. We’ll be working on proof sheets and making 8×10 enlargements.

Wednesday Feb 10th. Proof sheets due. We’ll be working on 8×10 enlargements for the free print assignment (due next Wed. Feb 17th) and I’ll go over mounting and spotting.

Week Four – Feb 1st and 3rd

Monday: We’ll be developing our first rolls of film and possibly making proof sheets if people are ready. You will need your exposed film, negative pages and photo paper.

Wednesday: More film developing and proof sheets. Hopefully we’ll be printing our first 8×10 prints also. Supplies: film, negative pages and photo paper.

Week Three – Jan 25,27th

Monday: We’ll continue working with our Pinhole cameras. I will demo how to mount your prints. Hopefully by the end of class Monday you will have a positive image mounted on 11×14 board to be turned in on Wednesday. Supplies: Pinhole cameras, photo paper, black or white 11×14 mountboard and photo corners.

Wednesday: Pinhole assignments are due. Your final positive should be mounted on 11×14 mountboard with the negative attached either inside or on the back. Also bring your 35mm camera and a roll of 100 ASA black and white film to class. There will be a lecture on using your 35mm camera and exposing film.

Week Two

This week we will continue making images with our pinhole cameras. After we have made a few good negatives we will be making positives. We do this by contact printing, using the enlargers in the darkroom.

You will need your pinhole cameras, photo paper, and if you think you’ll have a positive finished on Wednesday, bring your 11×14 mountboard and photo corners. Black or white mountboard only. I will do print mounting demos this Wednesday and Monday the 25th.
